On 6 and 7 September we held a technical agriculture seminar in Torre-Pacheco, Murcia, at which we shared the excellent results obtained in the trial conducted by the University of Granada (UGR). The main goal of the trial was to verify the benefits associated with the use of BRANDT Manni-Plex Ca during the absorption and transport of calcium ions within the plant and during the setting and ripening of the fruits in pepper crops.
The team responsible for conducting this study participated at the event, as well as the BRANDT team in charge of its development and marketing. The “Patrulla Águila”, the Spanish aerobatic team, brought the event to a spectacular close, with a guided visit of the San Javier Air Base and an unforgettable aerobatic display.

First day of the technical agriculture seminar: results of the UGR trial
Juan Manuel Ruiz Sáez, Professor of Plant Physiology at the University of Granada, was responsible for leading the trial during its development. We were also honored with his presence during the first day of the event, where he presented the results.
During his talk, Doctor Ruiz Sáez explained what the trial was all about, the foliar calcium supplements used, where and for how long the trial took place and, the most important thing, the results obtained. The main conclusion reached with regard to the use of BRANDT Manni-Plex Ca on pepper crops was that it significantly improves the mobility and distribution of calcium throughout the plant, including its fruits. This resulted in a greater biomass production in the above-ground part of the plant, increased photochemical activity, improved fruit production, a decrease in the occurrence of physiopathies related to calcium deficiency in crops and a general increase in the quality of the fruits obtained. All these results, published in the renowned scientific journal Agronomy, place BRANDT Manni-Plex Ca as the best foliar calcium supplement of all those included in the trial.
Second day of the technical agriculture seminar: visit to the San Javier Air Base
After the success of the first day and the acknowledgment of BRANDT’s work in the development of agricultural products that help our customers improve their products and ensure the best yield in a simple and effective way, everybody was eager to see what the next day would hold.
The second and final day of the event was sponsored by the “Patrulla Águila”, our collaborator in the Defense sector, which welcomed all the participants at the San Javier Air Base. There, we discovered the day-to-day work of a member of the Spanish Air Force, with a tour around the facilities and a visit to the auditorium, where they shared their most interesting adventures and experiences with the guests, giving us an even greater insight into their work.
After this presentation, we delved even deeper into the world of military aviation with an exhibition of the planes and light aircraft used by our hosts, rounding off the day, and the technical agriculture seminar, with an unforgettable aerobatic display.
