COVID-19 state of alarm: our activity continues following the indications of the health authorities

In view of the alarming health crisis caused by the massive spread of the COVID-19 virus in Spain, BRANDT Europe has established strict preventive safety, hygiene and cleanliness measures, following the recommendations of the health authorities.

First of all, we would like to clarify that our business activity continues, without incidents or supply problems, and without any decreases in production, quality control and/or logistics. This is our duty, as we are part of a strategic and essential sector, which is why we must take the necessary measures to continue our activity.

Furthermore, wherever possible, we have promoted teleworking for all employees who can feasibly work from home, either partially or fully, in order to reduce the number of people in the office as much as possible.

With regard to factory shifts, workers do not coincide when changing shifts, they share data and information telematically and in no case do workers overlap between shifts. Likewise, the general 30-minute break, which was previously taken by all workers at the same time, is now staggered in groups of 4 people, and for offices and laboratories, the lunch break has been reduced by half in order to leave the facilities earlier.

We have also established an internal protocol at our facilities, following the indications of the health authorities, to avoid the risk of infection, such as maintaining a social distance of 1 meter and not coinciding when going up or down stairs.

This protocol has been extended to drivers of vehicles for the transport of goods, and there will be no more than one person in the waiting room for loading/unloading at the same time. Therefore, we would like to thank the patience of the drivers who enter our facilities, now that the logistics process has been slowed down by the necessary and exhaustive security protocol that must be followed.

Of course, all commercial visits, meetings, training courses and other similar activities have been suspended or postponed until further notice.

At BRANDT Europe we are convinced that, in order to overcome this critical situation in which we find ourselves, we must stand and fight together and united. This is the only way to return to normality. That is why we thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this situation. We are part of a strategic and essential sector to ensure food production and supply and, to protect society, we must protect ourselves.

For your information, we attach the extraordinary Official State Gazette (BOE) and Official Gazette of the Regional Government of Andalusia (BOJA), as well as a document clarifying that we belong to a strategic and essential sector, and therefore we must take the necessary measures to continue our activity.
