It works by acidifying alkaline water and neutralizing salts present in hard water that can affect spray effectiveness.

Applications and use
BRANDT pH Adjust's built-in pH indicator will turn spray water pink as soon as the optimum pH level is reached. Always read the entire label before using.

Soft water: a rapid color change from milky white to pink occurs.

Hard water: Color slowly changes from milky white to yellow to orange to pink.
The correct volume of BRANDT pH Adjust to be added to the spray water is indicated by the colour: pink at pH between 4.5-5
